The Family Life Pastor will teach, shepherd, and lead the church in execution of the mission and values of the church, specifically focused on overseeing the organization and execution of the children’s, youth, small group, men’s, and women’s ministries. As overseer, he will necessarily need to assume the lead roles as the ebb and flow of volunteers require. A primary initial focus shall be assuming the lead role for the youth and children’s ministries. He will have oversight over small group leaders by providing training, discipleship and care. He will be a committed member of a small group. He will be accountable to the elders with the goal of becoming a vocational elder alongside the Senior Pastor. In addition, he will preach 6-10 times a year. The Family Life Pastor will plant roots in the Decatur area and demonstrate a deep desire to spread the gospel in the city and around the world.
